Cowboy Moments

This was a great moment for me. I was sitting, RELAXING, sipping on my peppermint flavored coffee and in comes this cute Cowboy. He and his sister were playing Cowboys, something that had not occured in quite a while. It was at that moment that every part of my being began to smile. I knew that the kids had reached a point of relaxation too, they were not fighting, tattling, complaining, they were just having fun, the kind of fun that only time can provide. Our family ,like so many others, has been on high speed for months, barely able to catch a moment to hug or laugh. I want more Cowboy moments. They are Beautiful. So it is my pledge or resolution, to do a better job in prioritizing my life in 2008. so that we can have more time to love, laugh and truly live.

This is what’s on my Tree.

My good friend Jill Higgins had a neat post on her blog. It was “what is on your tree?”. I thought that it was a neat idea and thought that I would also post what is on my tree. I would love to hear what is your favorite ornament that hangs on your Christmas tree.

Here are a few of Mine.

Bill was in Desert Storm and we met when he returned, thank God it was after the war. I can’t imagine sending him off to war like so many have to today. Thanks to ALL our Vets for all your sacrafices.

Our first Christmas together always hangs at the top of the tree. Isn’t that sweet?

My Mama bought us this one in 2001 after 9/11.

Of course the many baby ornaments are very dear to us all. It really gives our tree life.

Kyla made this in Sunday School and I so cherish it. She is Mary. Adorable. All my kids have made so many of our ornaments and by far are the ‘bestest’ on the tree!

Here is one of the fine examples of a crafted one that we have put together over the years.

Our Christmas Tree is so full of our favorite times and memories. It is such a great time of the year filled with wonderful opportunities to add to our trees of memories.

What is on your Tree?

The celebrations have began!

We have officially started our Holidays today by decorating a cute little Gingerbread House. Don’t you love it? We had so much fun. I think the kids ate more candy than is on the house. It is time to Slooooow down a little. I think that I am going to make a large cup of hot tea and just relax. Make sure you all do some of that too. Blessings to you all!

Breakfast at Woodlands

I had breakfast this morning with the Superintendent of Dorchester II School Systems Dr. Pye, Principals from the districts schools and other Business leaders. The first annual Principals for the day program was a true success. All of us Business owners agreed that we have an exceptional Administration running our area schools. Our children are in great hands.

The breakfast was at the beautiful 5 star resort, The Woodlands. It was awesome. We all had a great time sharing our ideas. The highlight for me was the conversation that I had with Dr. Pye after the breakfast. He is a great leader and serves a tremendously difficult position. Dr. Pye’s dedication to Dorchester II’s success is truly unsurpassed. Here are a few photos from this morning.
