Home Decor from Beautiful Charlotte

My family was in beautiful Charlotte North Carolina recently and I had to take the camera out for a few images of all the pretty things. I think that I will frame a few for our home. This is a goal that I have made for myself, I want to use more photography to decorate our home. It is a great way to bring a more modern, clean and much more meaningful feel to your home’s decor. Your favorite images would be well fitted for a table top nestled among other framed photographs or hanging on a big wall as a gorgeous canvas or even as a collection on a long hallway wall. You can have your very own little art gallery. I am going to have my own children contribute to ours. Kyla, our 14 year old, has found a great passion for photography ever since Christmas when she got her 1st Nikon camera. I have to say that she is quiet good, I am impressed! Kinzi has asked for a camera for her birthday that will be very very soon, and we will soon see what she can do, which I am sure will amaze us as well. Try decorating with some of your favorite images as well.

The Angel Oak Tree

Recently, my friend and fellow photographer Rachel told me about the Angel Oak Tree and ever since I have wanted to go. So recently I loaded up the family and headed out to John’s Island where the 1500 hundred year old enormous tree still stands. It has endured hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and more but still stands strong with a trunk nearly 25 feet round! Its branches were the size of a lot of the oak trees that I am familiar with. It is truly amazing and when you are in Charleston for your next visit, be sure to stop by to admire this ancient beauty.

Here are just a few for them to have a taste of what’s coming. I am working hard on another couple’s beautiful wedding images right now but wanted to put a couple on the blog for Casey and Jason to see. I had so much fun with them. They are both so sweet! I just can not wait for their September Wedding in St. Simons. Check back for the rest of their awesome session and to learn more about their Love Story. : )
