It is so hard to believe that it has been a year since Ashley and Kyle married. Their beautiful Dunes West Wedding was my 3rd wedding that I have been so fortunate to shoot with my dear friend Jill Higgins. Although bitter sweet that Jill could not have been here for this session, I was thrilled that I could do the session for them to document their special time. We decided to meet out at Magnolia Plantation, a magical step back in time, a place that you must visit if you haven’t.

I had a ball the other day out at Magnolia Plantation. I had a session with a couple that I met last year while 2nd shooting their wedding with Jill Higgins. They asked me to get some 1 year anniversary images for them to document their milestone. While out there, I was able to spend a few extra minutes in the petting zoo and got these images and thought that I would share. I had so much fun but just not enough time to spend that day. I am going back out there tomorrow with my friend Jill while she is in town for a visit. I can’t wait. More images to come of that happy couple that is celebrating their first year together, Kyle and Ashley. And I also have a fabulous wedding that I am working hard on so that I can share as well, so stay tuned. ; )
I simply can not believe the day is here when I have to say my baby is F-O-U-R-T-E-E-N Years old!!! I just can not believe it! Kyla, it is finally here!!! LOL She has been driving everyone crazy with her count down saying things like, “it is the week before, the next to the last week before my birthday” then on to “it is the day before the last day that I have to say the week before my birthday” and then “one more day till the day that I can say one more day till my birthday”. LOL!!! Get the picture? SILLY GIRL! She is such a fun and beautiful girl that I am so proud to call my daughter. “Kyla, I love you so much! I hope that your day makes you as happy as the day, that you came in to my world, made me! Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!
Recently one of my favorite babies turned ONE!!! Happy 1st Birthday Baby John!
As you can see, he is an absolute cutie pie. I could just eat him up!
We had some fun at his 1 year session with lemon tasting. Some of the faces that he made were just too hysterical. He had a serious love-hate relationship with this lemon. Although face distortingly sour, he keep wanting more.
Mom made sure to follow the lemon tasting with a sweet treat.
When I see children looking as if in deep thought, I often wonder what is going through their little minds. Here is what I would guess baby John is thinking as he is inside with Mom and Me while Dad is just outside the window mowing the lawn. “What will these crazy ladies do with me next? I see Dad getting off easy by cutting the grass. What about me dude? Don’t you know these ladies like the nudies? I know it has got to be coming!”
“Ok, nice, a bath is definitely not a bad thing.”
Amy is such a sweet Mom. She takes such good care of baby John. He is such a happy baby and she should be very proud of that. It says a lot about her.
“Hey Dad, I am ok. Just getting a bath dude, no need to worry.”

He has grown so much! It has been amazing to watch his growth over the course of a year. His mother was so smart and booked one of the Baby’s First Year Packages offered by Shara Lana Photography. “It has been something that you will never regret, Right Amy? ; )”
She took care of it once and did not have to worry no more about documenting his precious little quickly changing life. She now has a whole year of priceless memories to cherish. She has begun to decorate her gorgeous home with Little John’s Portraits. And I tell you, there is no better decor. : )
His a BIG Boy! He got to brush his own teeth.
This is what happens when you take a toothbrush away from a sleepy little boy. Too Funny! Love it!
