Kade lost his 1st Tooth!

We reached another milestone for our baby. I was so excited to be the one that helped Kade with the extraction of his first tooth. Bill has always been the one that got the girls’ loose teeth out and I really love that fact. It has been a really cool job for Dad, it has worked out very well and seems so nostalgic now. And being apart of Kade’s 1st extraction made me realize that I was apart of something REALLY, REALLY BIG. He is our baby, our youngest, the last one, which means the last 1st tooth to come out. (tears streaming down my face, lol) A BIG deal. I did not intentionally take the role away from Bill and there was absolutely no suggestions that I did BUT it was so exciting having the lead role. : )

OMGosh, LOOK how CUTE!!! I can’t wait to see him in his hockey uniform.

The story goes like this, Kade and I were sitting on the couch while he was reading a book to me when he paused to show me how loose his tooth had become. He could make his tooth go completely forward touching his bottom lip but could not make it go back towards his tongue. I told him that it would take only a light tap backwards to get it out. I told him how amazed that I was to see how it could reach his lip and I asked him to show me just how far it could go the other way. When he showed me, TAP, I tapped his hand and I mean a very little TAP, that was all that it took. We were both in complete SHOCK, both of eyes wide as saucers, when he spit his tooth out. We were laughing so hard and running around with excitement not knowing what to do.

Luckily Dad soon walked in from work to share in all the excitement.

OH! And yes the tooth fairy did come and was far more generous than I ever remember. ; )

Inflation!
